He had sketch book arms and my name written across his heart

I never asked for the advertisement

One time we were shadows of each other

Now we seem to speak in private

"When was the last time we were alone?"

I recall

Greeting the dawn in fishnets with my underwear in my pocket

And lipstick everywhere

He laughs and rewards me with a hug

Didn't you know?

I'm a fucking laugh riot

With a great memory

We break each other's hearts

And turn each other on

What a winning combination

A high school sweetheart I never outgrew

Or did I?

Our reunion was brief, which was easiest in this case

A small virgin like kiss and off to my train

I didn't cry this time

The metal did the screaming for me
