Born and raised in Southern California, Julie L Rasmussen's paintings are a reflection of clear skies, sunny days and good times. Her choice of color and subtle design bring life to any wall, anywhere.

As a child, Julie chose to draw with her crayons instead of eating them like her classmates. Her first critical acclaim came in the sixth grade where a pencil drawing simply titled 'DOG' placed first in her school's art fair.

Over the years she has been invited to show her work at a variety of galleries, street fairs, events and asked to donate pieces to a number of charity auctions. She has sold through several home-furnishing stores in San Francisco, San Diego as well as Los Angeles. Many of her paintings have permanent homes in restaurants, office buildings and production houses throughout California.

In her spare time Julie volunteers with children teaching arts and crafts.
She has also assisted in the painting of various murals throughout the Los Angeles area on community centers, neglected buildings and some public schools.

Her most notable mural was one she did along with 20 other artists with the canvas being the world famous Hollywood Blvd. This mural was of the stunning
Audrey Hepburn, and its size, bigger than a football field, won Julie and her fellow artists a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as creators of 'The World's Largest Chalk Mural.'
