Jenna Harju resides in Los Angeles where she moved to pursue
a career in acting after graduating from the George Washington University
with a degree in Theatre. Since then, she rediscovered her love for art,
and now that is her primary focus.
The
majority of her art works are drawings of body forms or portraits done on cardboard
with oil pastels, a technique inspired by
Edgar Degas. Her main
focus when creating a piece is to capture the contrast of light and dark.
She also believes interesting composition is another key to her style of
art. She has fun playing around with finding unusual ways to crop whatever
photo she’s using as a source.
Copies of almost any drawing found on her website http://www.jennaharju.com can be created, in any colors desired by the customer. Commissions are welcomed
as well, especially if you have a photograph of what you want depicted.
