Today's poem is short

and sweet, you

won't have much work to do.

It is sent out

with the same trepidation

the others transmitted.

I didn't write the words.

I am only the messenger.

I don't pretend to understand

anything that I do

not understand

Today's poem is about that.

About you and me

and our inability to connect.

It's about why poems

go where they wanna go.

It's about their lack of discretion.

Today's poem has

already gone on too long.
